Emerging Technologies Interparliamentary Caucus
Introducing the Emerging Technologies Interparliamentary Caucus
The Emerging Technologies Interparliamentary Caucus (ETIC) is an independent, non-partisan forum that brings together parliamentarians from around the world to exchange perspectives on Emerging All-Domain Technologies (EADT).
Supported by secretariat services provided by Advena Research, ETIC provides a trusted environment for dialogue, information exchange and relationship-building among legislators with an interest in emerging technologies and their implications for society, security, governance and scientific understanding.
Operating as a forum for discussion rather than a decision-making or policy-setting body, ETIC enables parliamentarians to engage constructively with complex and rapidly evolving issues, including advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS), Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), and other emerging technological developments.
Benefits of ETIC
Through international engagement and collaboration, ETIC aims to:
• Promote informed dialogue on emerging technologies and their implications.
• Encourage transparency and scientific inquiry.
• Strengthen international understanding and cooperation.
• Support evidence-based oversight and policymaking.
• Foster connections between parliamentarians, researchers and subject-matter
Collaborative Approach
ETIC is consultative and inclusive in its approach, seeking to incorporate diverse perspectives and expertise. The caucus provides a confidential and non-partisan setting in which parliamentarians can engage openly, share experiences and explore emerging issues of common interest.
Next Steps
As ETIC continues to engage parliamentarians and stakeholders internationally, participant feedback will help inform its future development and priorities. The objective is to build a trusted international network that supports informed discussion and cooperation on emerging technologies.
